Named for the butterfly
Kipepeo, butterfly in Swahili, is a reminder that every child grows and transforms at their own pace. Our kindergarten welcomes children from 15 months to 6 years to learn together in a large outdoor space, on our on-site farm, and in Montessori-themed classrooms. Our primary section currently serves Grade 1 and Grade 2 through the Competency-Based Curriculum.
Our main aim is to provide a rich, stimulating and nurturing environment for every learner, a safe, caring setting where children feel loved, respected and welcome at all times.
We use a holistic approach, intertwining learning through nature with the core tenets of the Montessori philosophy: a deep respect for the child, and the practice of “following the child”, honouring each child's uniqueness, their freedom to choose, to move, to correct their own mistakes, and to work at their own pace.
